Tree Planting & Environmental Sustainability Programme — Edo State Polytechnic, Usen

SEAFA's Director led a major horticultural and environmental initiative at Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, aimed at greening the campus and protecting students, staff, and the wider community from the impacts of climate change. The multi-year programme helped reposition the institution as one of the best-kept campuses in Nigeria and included a capacity-building workshop, a campus environmental club, the Center for Natural Product Research (2022), climate-resilience equipment, and a collaboration with GOIMT.

Public Lecture: Climate Change & Energy Security in Nigeria — Issues, Challenges and Prospects

SEAFA delivered a landmark public lecture to participants of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 45, 2023 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, during their local study tour of Edo State. Delivered by Prof. Abiodun Falodun (Ph.D., FAAS, FISPON), it covered climate-change impacts on Nigeria's energy sector and paths toward sustainability. The invitation was formally approved by the Edo State Government.
